Christmas

We went to Christmas Eve service and then came home and watched White Christmas.The girls love the "Sisters" song especially when it is sung by Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

We started this tradition a couple of years ago of giving them one present on Christmas Eve that includes matching pajamas and a new book to read before bed.

Both K and I were eagerly awaiting this Christmas since M and E would both be old enough to enjoy Christmas morning. M opened all of her presents and usually had the response "this is what I always wanted." M's favorite present was a collection of horses by Melissa and Doug. E opened her presents more slowly and M always asked if she would share. We found these finger puppets for both girls and put them in their stocking.

After Christmas morning at our house we headed over Nana and Pop Pop's to open presents and enjoy Christmas dinner.

We spent the weekend with my family after Christmas. This was the first chance for the girls to meet their Great Grandpa from New York. We played some bocce ball and played with a train set that Uncle J received for Christmas. We also ate at a new BBQ restaurant in Austin that had the best brisket I have ever eaten in my life.
