The Sunday before Christmas the girls were given bells from a lady in the ministry J and I have the privilege to serve. They loved ringing them all the way home!
Christmas Eve we went to church and came home to a present of new pajamas and book. We read it, and then J and the girls colored by the tree (a R family tradition).
Christmas morning was at our house! The girls loved the new doll beds, and had to put their babies to bed at once!
E thought she needed to test it out too.
Feeding baby while J is opening something. Who knows?
We ate breakfast and then drove over to my parents house in Richardson. E loved the tree.
We don't 'do' Santa in our house, but we let her have the joy of sitting on his lap if she wants to. He asked her what she wanted and she said, "a white Christmas." I thought she was dreaming it was 70+ degrees outside, and Christmas was only a couple weeks away. Well, I am happy to say I was mistaken, and she got exactly what she wanted.
She liked licking the snow off the candy canes in their yard.
The girls went down for their nap, and woke up to discover the snow had stayed! I am glad I thought to pack M's rain boots.
This is E's first snow. She absolutely loved it.
This is Apples first snow too. She has mixed feelings. She would jump and pounce in it, but later decided it was too cold to go outside.
My brother and sister started to build a snowman. J decided to take D's bottom part and hit him with it.
D returned the favor with S's ball.
My grandma was here, as well, from Indiana. We loved getting to spend this sweet time with her. My sister A was there too, but somehow avoided being in pictures.
Here is M modeling her Bitty Baby from Nana & Pop Pop. We only had two dolls in our house. One was "naked baby" which is used for the tub and water play. Therefore, both girls would constantly want the one doll at the same time. Problem solved. We now have four dolls.
My favorite thing is hearing M hum "Joy to the World." Such a sweet dear sound. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
